Maddie rocked the vote…and the big kid tub

So, Maddie had a full day yesterday. First of all, there was her morning requisite just being cute:

Being this cute takes some energy

Along with all the playing on the floor, and morning walking through the neighborhood, and napping, she attended her first presidential election. While she has to wait 18 years to actually pull the lever, she had all the pollsters rolling with her “Vote for Pedro” onesie yesterday. Her Auntie Tay needs to get her a bigger size, however. This one is getting quite snug.

Maddie is counting down until the 2032 election

Maybe she couldn’t vote, but she totally OWNED the big kid bathtub for the first time:

Look at all this water! My world officially has been rocked.

Dave and I both agreed we weren’t quite ready for our little baby to graduate to the big kid tub, but Maddie sure was. The bathroom sink was getting pretty cramped. Here’s to the everyday, and to the exciting, new experience, baby girl!

And another happy birthday!

Happy 60th birthday, Grandpa Hart! Maddie says, “Hope your day is sweeter than sweet potatoes and banana oatmeal, more exciting than a ride in the car, and more fun than pooping your pants!

What a faux pas.

Maddie’s sign-making skills are improving.

Wow, Maddie can’t get over how embarrassed she is to have neglected to post a happy birthday message for her grandma Kinney on November 1st. She says to blame it on her mommy. Happy birthday, g-moma!

You just don’t realize how tough it is to get a curious infant to hold still for a photo and not eat the paper. Maybe you do realize the difficulty, but I have the time, the outtakes and the password to update the blog, so here you go:

One of the better ones.

Happy Birthday Aunt Debbie!

Today is Maddie’s great-aunt Debbie’s birthday. Deb, Maddie says “Happy Birthday and she saved you some oatmeal & banana mush birthday cake!” Lots of love from Austin!

Look what I can do!

At our last checkup, the doctor suggested that we try out some real food with Maddie. This apparently isn’t so much for nutrition as much as to get her used to the tastes & textures.

Umm, in proper Hart/Wagner/Simpson/Cox fashion, this girl digs the chow.
